A special mention to jewel-studded canes!

The Met Gala 2025 saw celebrities from Shah Rukh Khan to Zendaya step out in their tailored best to participate in one of the most celebrated nights in fashion. The night's theme, 'Superfine: Tailoring Black Style', asked designers and guests to delve into what self-invention and dandyism mean to them through couture and high jewellery. While the outfits didn’t disappoint, it was the jewellery that took the cake.

Black dandyism drew special focus on accessories. From custom fedoras to opulent brooches and lapel pins, these dapper accompaniments elevated the looks. The stylists working overtime for the Met Gala looks got the memo and delivered in spades.
Here are some of our favourite jewellery moments from the night…

Shah Rukh Khan’s much-awaited debut on the Met Gala red carpet saw him in head-to-toe Sabyasachi. The actor wore The Dandy Stack, featuring jewellery made of 18k gold with sapphires, tourmalines, old mine cut and brilliant cut diamonds. His Bengal Tiger head cane was the cherry on top of the sundae.

Co-chair Lewis Hamilton adorned his custom white Wales Bonner tux and Stephen Jones hat with a vintage pearl and diamond brooch and a Briony Raymond floral brooch made up of white, yellow, and pink diamonds.

No stranger to iconic archival pieces, Isha Ambani delivered yet another jewellery moment for the books with her Cartier necklace that was once owned by the Maharaja of Nawanagar. The necklace has a fun history at the Met. Its replica was featured in the movie Ocean’s 8 as the coveted piece that Debbie Ocean and her gang wanted to sweep off Anne Hathaway’s neck at the gala.

Diljit Dosanjh is a card-carrying member of the dandy club, and this was his night to shine. And shine he did! The powerhouse performer’s regal Prabal Gurung outfit was elevated with the accessories, from the jewel-studded turban to the layered diamond set that emulated the iconic Patiala necklace by Cartier. To top it all off, he chose to wield a lion-headed, jewel-studded sword with his look.

Ayo Edibiri paired her custom Ferragamo outfit with some choice accessories that we loved. She added a pair of vintage Cartier earrings from the 1960s, a gold, ruby and enamel dog brooch, and a chyroprase and gold ring to complete her look.

Anne Hathaway’s Carolina Herrera look was eclipsed by her choice of jewellery in a Bulgari high jewellery necklace with a sugarloaf sapphire centre stone.

ASAP Rock’s diamond brooch and a diamond and ruby necklace were a welcome addition to his tux and raincoat ensemble. However, it was his custom umbrella by Briony Raymond with its diamond encrusted handle that had our heart.

If there was ever a Met Gala theme designed for Colman Domingo, it was this one. The stylish actor looked like a million bucks in his Valentino suit and the Boucheron Iceberg necklace. He also added an ear cuff because more is more!

Teyena Taylor’s Ruth E Carter look was elevated with the addition of David Yurman jewels. The singer added serpentine chains, brooches, and a watch fob-inspired necklace to earn a place in the Red Carpet Jewellery hall of fame.
