Besides the phenomenal movies, the Cannes Film Festival's red carpet gave us some noteworthy fashion moments this year as well. And while we do have a lot of opinions on the clothes (more on that later), it’s the jewellery that really caught our attention several times through the course of the Festival. So, we have narrowed down our favourite jewellery picks from the Cannes Film Festival this year, which truly stole the show.

Jewellery Highlights From The Cannes 2025

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in Manish Malhotra High Jewellery

Aishwarya Rai wore three necklaces—a ruby choker, a multi-layered necklace with two layers of diamonds, and another long, multi-layered necklace in rubies. She paired it with two huge cocktail rings. Excuse us while we enter our Ruby Era.

    Janhvi Kapoor in Aurus Jewels

For the screening of ‘Homebound’, Janhvi Kapoor showed up wearing the most stunning Anamika Khanna outfits with beautiful jewels in Jadau and Jade, from brands like Golecha’s Jewels, Réja Gems, and Madhulika Shaktawat. What caught our (read: everyone’s) attention in particular, however, is her backchain from Aurus Jewels. We’ll be lusting over this for a while.

    Colman Domingo in Boucheron

Colman Domingo is getting a little too comfortable being the best-dressed man in the room. He wore a stunning ear cuff with the face of the bird peeking over the ear, and the wings of the bird under it. Sigh. And some men still shy away from wearing minimal jewellery.

Sometimes, it’s not as much the jewellery as it is how you wear the jewellery. In this case, it’s both.

Karan Johar in Manish Malhotra High Jewellery

Manish Malhotra High Jewellery was clearly a hit this season at Cannes—Karan Johar wore huge animal brooches by Manish Malhotra High Jewellery on the collar of his jacket, and as buttons and cufflinks of his jacket. Again, how you wear it.

    Helen Mirren in Margot McKinney

Helen Mirren wore the Marina collar by Margot McKinney, a beautiful necklace featuring gems the size of our emotional baggage. Which is to say—massive.

Dainty and elegant but also incredibly dramatic? Consider us obsessed.

    Vishal Jethwa in Kaya Potluri

We love to see a young homegrown brand shine on the global stage. Vishal Jethwa wore statement brooches by Kavya Potluri. Two thoughts: One, he seems to love fashion; two, animals and birds are really dominating the jewellery scene right now.

    Eva Longoria in Chopard

Okay, we need pink crystals, and we need them now.

    Araya Hargate in Boucheron

A jewellery piece doesn’t always have to be dramatic to be unforgettable. Exhibit A: This Boucheron necklace on Araya Hargate.

    Zhou Ye in Tasaki

Strings of pearls will never not be classy. The necklace is obviously stunning in capital letters, but it’s her earrings that we are absolutely crushing over.

    Nataly Osmann in Parure Atelier

Speaking of strings of pearls, Nataly Osmann wore this stunning pearl necklace. The back necklace is here to say—not that we are complaining.

Her necklace is the star of the show, and she knows it. You know that feeling when you know that everybody is going to be looking at your jewellery no matter what clothes you wear? This—this right here.

We’ve said it before. We’ll say it again, bird-inspired jewellery is here to stay. You might as well get used to it.

For Manifest to become one of Cambridge Dictionary's most viewed words of 2024 — 1,30,000 hits and counting — it means some of us must have Googled it at least once. I know, I hit that search button over and over again

And nothing, absolutely nothing, represents India more than our weddings. It is a time when families are brought together. Traditions come alive as they are adapted to each couple's beliefs. And lives are joined in a way that the romantic in me still enjoys.
