Get The Look: Alia Bhatt’s Inverted Smokey Eye Is A Must-Try
Alia Bhatt attended the recent Sabyasachi celebrations in a slightly different version of the classic smokey eye look and we think it’s so cool!
Alia Bhatt has the knack to pull off something simple with equal glamour, whether it is her no make-up make-up face or a look as classic as the smokey eyes. Recently, at the quarterly celebrations of the burgeoning designer Sabyasachi in Mumbai, Alia was seen in a black sari made out of Murshidabad silk—a classic Sabya silhouette. The black sari was reimagined with a bejewelled blouse.
The same outfit was also seen on the runway and her sari was pulled together with danglers featuring yellow diamonds from the designer’s fine jewellery line.
As for the make-up, it was the kohl on her eyes, or may we say, an almost inverted smokey eye that made us want to wield our brushes to recreate it.
If you’re looking to do the same, follow the steps below.
Step By Step Guide: Alia Bhatt’s Inverted Smokey Eye
The photographs tell us that her base make-up was really light. For the same, begin with a moisturised base using the MAC Hyper Real Skin Canvas Balm.
Next, use a thin layer of foundation. For this, NARS Light Reflecting Foundation does a great job. Blend it into your skin using a beauty blender and follow up the base make-up by correcting any imperfections.
For darker spots, use a peach orange corrector slightly to balance out the discolouration.
Now that the base is in place, use a cream bronzer on your cheekbones. Blend it smoothly and add a cream blush on top to add a natural flush to your face.
Set the under eyes, chin, smile lines and the T-zone with e.l.f. Cosmetics Halo Glow Setting Powder.
Here comes the real deal, begin by blending a soft, chocolate brown shade on the crease of your lids and follow up with a deep bronzer shade overall. Use the Anastasia Beverly Hills Spice Palette Mini in Spice and blend it seamlessly.
Use a black kohl to line your lower lash line, you don’t have to be precise with it… However, thin, creamy strokes would do the job. Take a smudging brush and smudge the line you just made to give it a smokey effect.
