Selena Gomez Is Planning A New Wedding Everyday, Says Benny Blanco

As news of celebrity couple Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco getting engaged took over the Internet, late last year, the world could not get enough of the deets. Everything from the stunning marquise diamond engagement ring to the tacos-picnic proposal, to the boyfriend necklace that Gomez was spotted wearing mid-2024, and the full-blown investigation of whether or not the two were engaged - the duo’s coming together was a major pop culture event.
Naturally, the world can’t wait to see their wedding but the couple is taking things “one day at a time”. In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Benny and Selena spoke about how they are in no real rush to transition from engaged to married.
“I think every day she’s planned a new wedding in her head. We’re very much ‘take it one day at a time’-type of people. We’re still not over this moment. Literally, while you were talking, she was sitting there staring at her ring,” he said. “We’re just living our life every day. There’s not this whole elaborate thing. I think we’re very lucky to be surrounded by such great people, and we’ve still just been enjoying so much. It feels like we got engaged yesterday, but also feels like we got engaged 20 years ago.”

The two also joked about Benny being a house-husband and how he finds joy in taking care of and nurturing Selena Gomez, “I like to be domestic,” he quipped during the interview. When Selena is craving chips and queso as a late-night snack, he is more than happy to whip up the quick midnight snack for his beau and wife-to-be! For now, the couple is enjoying being engaged, immersing themselves fully into their creative work and their current album.
