Indian cricket star Shikhar Dhawan has officially tied the knot with his longtime girlfriend Sophie Shine on February 21. The couple who had been dating each other for over a year exchanged their vows in a private ceremony in Delhi NCR with close knit circle of both their loved ones. At the ceremony, Shikhar looked regal in a cream-coloured sherwani with floral patterns, while Sophie had donned a lehenga that featured the same floral theme.
The couple had previously made the headlines for their ongoing wedding functions that included a floral Haldi ceremony on February 20, 2026, which had taken the internet by storm. Sophie was seen wearing an orange lehenga by designer duo Rimple and Harpreet. The lehenga featured a red border with golden zari floral vines at the waist. The wide border had colourful zari, lace, and delicate sequin detailing. The ceremony witnessed the guests showering Sophie with marigold flowers instead of just applying haldi. This was followed by the sweet moments from their mehendi functions and sangeet ceremony, where the couple were captured sharing cute moments as well as their guests ahead of the big day. Shikhar had also taken to his Instagram on Thursday to share a sneak peek of their Sangeet night with his fans. He had captioned the post, “"Sangeet night. Almost the Dhawans," raising the excitement among the fans.
The photos from their big day were quick to make the rounds after cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal shared snippets from their wedding celebrations on his Instagram handle, captioning it, "Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai.” This was also followed by a post from the groom himself as Shikhar shared moments from their big day on his Instagram handle. he captioned it, "Mr. & Mrs Dhawan."
Their romance had first caught the public eye during the Champions Trophy 2025 in Dubai, where the two were spotted together. They were later seen attending a media conclave together, where Shikhar had hinted at finding love again. The couple had later confirmed their engagement on January 12, 2026. Shikhar shared the news with his fans and well-wishers through an Instagram post, captioning it, "From shared smiles to shared dreams. Grateful for the love, the blessings, and every good wish for our engagement as we choose togetherness forever - Shikhar & Sophie."
