It is raining good news in the entertainment industry, while Rajkummar Rao and Patralekhaa welcomed their first child, Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja are set to welcome their second.
Sonam took to her Instagram to share the news on November 20. In a subtle post featuring the actress in a beautiful hot-pink Princess Diana-inspired wool suit that showed off its padded shoulders and a softly curved shoulder line, she hinted that she was embracing motherhood for the second time. The Neerja actress re-shared her post that was captioned, “MOTHER,” on her Instagram story and wrote, “Coming spring 2026.”
The news spread like wildfire and her fans and colleagues from the industry could not contain their excitement as they dropped their congratulatory messages in the comment section. Starting with Sonam’s husband, Anand Ahuja commented, “double trouble 😍😍. He further dropped another comment “Baby ma.. also chicccccc mama!" Several celebrities then followed suit, including Priyanka Chopra, Esha Gupta, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Parineeti Chopra and several others.
The couple had tied the knot in May 2018, after years of dating and had welcomed their first child, Vayu in August 2022. She had also shared a heartfelt note for her son on his birthday in August, this year. She had written, “Happy Birthday my baby boy. May you always be this curious, kind, thoughtful and sweet. I hope you are always surrounded by so much love, music and happiness. Mama loves you to the moon and back and again."
